If you walk or drive downtown, you will see Gala Furniture store on the corner of I and 7th Street located at 654 I Street. Gala Furniture is a Family-owned business that has been a part of the Los Banos community for two years. Gala Furniture was started 7 years ago by Jose and Cruz Loredo; their first furniture store was opened in Modesto, CA. The Loredo family saw a long-term future for their business in Los Banos. The Loredo’s noticed the growth and opportunity of Los Banos, and seeing a long-term future, decided to expand their business to Los Banos. The Loredo’s were inspired by the growing community of Los Banos and brought their son, Carlos Loredo, to open and manage the new location in Los Banos.
Carlos Loredo decided to open his furniture store in Downtown Los Banos because of its centralized location and proximity to banks, city police, and downtown area. A major factor in his decision to open in Downtown Los Banos is the continued Revitalization efforts occurring in the downtown that will enhance his business.
Currently, the store boasts 13,000 sq. feet of showroom space. Gala furniture is currently being remodeled to showcase a wide variety of merchandise. The store will continue to be open while the remodel is taking place. Walk in the store today and you will see a variety of merchandise that can furnish your whole house; from bedroom to dining to patio furniture. Gala Furniture offers middle to high end brands such as Ashley Products, and Aico. Customers can also order furniture via Catalog. I have had the privilege of working with so many of you during the last 37 years that it would be impossible to count all of your framing projects! While some jobs have been easy and others have been quite the challenge, it has always been an honor to serve each and every one of you.
I will be retiring from business at the end of the year. July will mark the beginning of our 38 years of service on the Westside and beyond. It is a rare gift to be able to say it has been a joy from the beginning to the end of this adventure, and I thank all of you for that.
If you have any unused gift certificates, please consider using them soon so that any framing and printing services can be completed before January 2020. Framing and printing projects will be accepted at this time. We have a number of framed art pieces available from our front gallery wall, as well as hidden prints and curated original bookplates.
Designing custom framing has been fun for us, and we hope you enjoy the outcome of your handiwork and ours for years to come on your home and office walls. Mike and I appreciate the trust and kindness you’ve shown us since our first day in 1982.
